All Stars Live Fest™ and Community Awards is a major special event destined to be one of the top events of 2008. The rooster of pioneering Hip Hop stars, high profile celebrities, and top industry executives will be coming to Pittsburgh to entertain, educate, and inspire the regions youth and citizens in a universal celebration of positive arts, inspiration and uplifting activities for the whole community!!
AWARDS GALA
A special Community Awards Dinner will be held before the music festival. This special community presentation honors many local Mentors, Community Leaders and Role Models including Hollywood film director Antoine Fuqua and U.S. Senator Arlen Specter. To nominate someone (click here). Other special invited celebrity guests include actors Ethan Hawke, Nick Stahl, Vivica A. Fox, Dash Mihok, and Carl Clemons, Monty Meza-Clay IBA World boxing champion, hip hop pioneer Kurtis Blow, Pittsburgh Steelers and many more. Gala pre-entertainment provided by some of the regions most exceptionally talented youth from the Creative and Performing Arts High School (CAPA) 6:00 p.m. in the Ballroom, Hilton Hotel. VIP ticket packages, including the reception and prime concert seating, are available (see VIP ASC Awards).

MUSIC FESTIVAL
Honoring one of the founders and creators of recorded rap, Kurtis Blow, first rapper signed to a Major label, first rap millionaire and the first to have a certified gold record, a timeless artist with a string of hits and a hip hop legend. The Force M.D.s (M.D. being an initialism for “Musical Diversity”) were among the first R&B vocal groups to intermix doo wop singing with hip-hop beats. Grand Master Mele Mel one of the most prolific and socially conscious rap artists of all time is the only rap artist in history to ever be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Afrika Bambaataa and Soul Sonic Force is one of the three main originators of break-beat dee-jaying, and is respectfully known as The Father of The Electro Funk Sound. Dana Dane A hip-hop artist known for humorous lyrics and for his fashion sense. DJ Grand Wizard Theodore, the creator of the “scratch” is the pioneer who layed the foundation for all hip hop dee jays today!
The festival’s opening act will feature the M.V.P. youth group and Naka Youth Dance Squad made up of youth ages 5 - 18 from around the Greater Pittsburgh area. They will perform the festival’s opening number produced by Sam Snead, former artist and producer for Dr. Dre (NWA / Aftermath Records).

MISSION
The 1st Annual All Stars Live Fest™ and Community Awards celebrates positive urban arts with hip hop culture pioneers and raises mentorship awareness in our region. Our mission is simple: To make a difference in the community, we must make a difference with the youth.
It is through your support that our efforts to reduce and eliminate violence and the high school drop out rate in our community, through prevention, intervention and education will become reality. Our team and supporters have worked diligently to organize festivities intended to increase the public awareness for mentoring and the epidemic proportions of the escalating violence and school drop out rate in Pittsburgh. We would like to thank each of you in advance for embracing us with your presence as it will be extremely difficult to raise the consciousness to the city of these social plagues of poor graduation rates and violence without your participation.
The 1st Annual All Stars Live Fest™ and Community Awards will aid in the process of healing our community and bridge “gaps” by bringing together Pittsburgh’s diverse region in a universal celebration of positive hip hop arts and culture! On behalf of our staff, celebrity friends, and the concerned citizens of the region we look forward to accommodating you in what promises to be an historic and amazing event.
